Death note

Hey there, this is GKR . Today is February 29, 2020 , a special day. To mark this special day I am writing a blog about my favourite, not just mine but one of the most popular series in Japanese history. This is my most exciting blog ever. Is it because of the title? Yes. DEATH NOTE by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. By far, in the history of hundred plus years of the publishing industry all over the world, Shonen Jump came up with the best series of all time. It all began when a guy with the pen name Tsugumi Ohba submitted a one-shot named Death Note to an editor in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2003. The short stunned the entire editorial team of Shueisha and thus a go-ahead was given to publish the series in the magazine. They hired the best artists in Japan to do the artwork for this new manga. The artist was Takeshi Obata who was famous for drawing Hikaru no go. The combo delivered as expected. Death note that ran in the magazine from 2003 to 2006 became the best

Reignited by Abdul Kalam

Hey there, this is GKR . If you are a parent and ever wondered how to inspire your kids to pursue a unique goal and dream in life then you have come to the right place. Reignited is a book by Dr APJ.Abdul Kalam. This book has information about various fields of a career that children might be interested in. My favourite was the chapter in which he explained how the field of robotics requires more innovative people in India. The writing is very simple and easy to understand. This book can be read by both children and adults to get inspired to achieve their dreams in their respective careers. In a nutshell, buy this book and gift it to any kids you know whom you want to inspire to dream big and achieve big. Brody's ghost by Mark Crilley

Hey there, this is GKR . I am excited to revisit a comic series from one of my favourite comic book artists MARK CRILLEY. He is also a very famous Youtuber. Brody's Ghost is one comic that I will never forget because it had a unique tone to it. It is a fantasy, funny thriller that will start with humour and end with suspense. The artwork is well done, it suits the premise perfectly. Some of the pages had intense detailing to it, of course, it is expected from such renowned comic book artists like Mark Criley. It is a six-volume comic and a short read. I read the entire series in about two hours and it was fun to read. It is recommended for everyone if you are looking for a short read, maybe during travel or during your free time at school or college. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson

Hey there, this is GKR . I am a bit emotional right now. I just read the book that will forever be in my heart. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson, the biography of Steve Jobs. This is also one of the biggest books that I have read, it is about 550+ pages. I am always a fan of Apple (even though I could not afford to buy any product from Apple) The creativity of Apple is the best known. I always wondered how a company could be this creative in innovating products. I didn't know much about the CEOs who changed the world but then I decided to take up a challenge. I went to the book store nearby, purchased the top ten biographies that I could buy about the greatest CEOs of all time. One such book was Steve Jobs. In my childhood, all I knew about Steve Jobs was for his arrogance. In 2011, when the entire world was crying for the death of this famous innovator, I had no idea who he was. I was very much interested in cricket rather than in technology. It was in 2019 that

Bakuman - Comic that is close to my heart

Hey there, this is GKR . I am a big fan of Japanese manga comics as you all know. It all started when I read this manga (manga is the Japanese word for comics) called Bakuman by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. It is a manga about the process of drawing manga comics. The story is about two teenage boys Mashiro and Takagi who join hands to write and draw a manga comic for the famous publishers Shueisha. This Weekly Shonen Jump manga was a great hit in Japan as it revealed all the details about the long-hidden mystery behind manga making. The reason I read this as my first manga was because I wanted to know about the world of the manga before I stepped into it. It was in 2015, a nice September day, my dad was browsing the online store for purchasing something. I had published my first book back then and so I was at the peak of excitement. To reward the hard work my dad purchased a manga comic as a box set to gift me. It was a great surprise for me as I had a long time ago
