Elon Musk by Ashlee Vance

Hey there, this is GKR.

Elon Musk is one of the greatest current-generation innovators. He is the CEO of several companies including Tesla and SpaceX. I admire him a lot especially for the fact that he is actually trying to make this world a better place by making Electric cars and selling Solar roof and walls.

I have seen several Youtube videos claiming that Elon Musk's daily routine is insane. I wanted to know more about his life and so picked up this biography written by Ashlee Vance.
To be frank, I fell in love with the way the book is written. It is simple yet unique. The book gives a clear insight into Elon Musk's life in general.
As for my excitement, let me give you a piece of basic information from the book.
"Elon Musk is a fan of reading books"
That is right. That was the very first fact that hooked me into reading more about his life. He even read books about Rocket Science to become the CEO of SpaceX himself as he found no one suitable to handle the innovation his mind was pursuing. He was also a loner. (I relate to people like him, being a loner is in my blood)

I won't say that this biography is good enough to beat Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson but I can assure that this is a good read in general. People sometimes misunderstand the growth obtained by billionaires and so these books will set the path to proving that nobody becomes a billionaire out of luck. The episode where Elon Musk was nearing bankruptcy due to Tesla and SpaceX is such an inspiring story. Trust me, anyone else would have given up, but Elon did not.

I also recommend you watch his interviews on Youtube especially the one with MKBHD where he shows around the Tesla factory.
This book is a must-read for sure, to all those entrepreneurs out there.

Bakuman - Comic that is close to my heart

Hey there, this is GKR . I am a big fan of Japanese manga comics as you all know. It all started when I read this manga (manga is the Japanese word for comics) called Bakuman by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. It is a manga about the process of drawing manga comics. The story is about two teenage boys Mashiro and Takagi who join hands to write and draw a manga comic for the famous publishers Shueisha. This Weekly Shonen Jump manga was a great hit in Japan as it revealed all the details about the long-hidden mystery behind manga making. The reason I read this as my first manga was because I wanted to know about the world of the manga before I stepped into it. It was in 2015, a nice September day, my dad was browsing the online store for purchasing something. I had published my first book back then and so I was at the peak of excitement. To reward the hard work my dad purchased a manga comic as a box set to gift me. It was a great surprise for me as I had a long time ago

Ikigai - The book that changed my life

Hey there, this is GKR . Japanese people are hard workers. They work hard every day without feeling stressed or tired because they usually do what they want to do instead of forcing themselves into something they would never do. The people of Japan believe that everyone has an ikigai-a reason to jump out of bed each morning. Ikigai is the Japanese way of happy living with what we have for a long time. I like this book because it taught me how to choose what I want to do in life and have a purpose in life. This book gives a great intel on how Japan has a higher life expectancy than most of the other well-developed nations. "Only staying active will make you want to live a hundred years." When I first read this book I was shocked by how much information the writers Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles have produced in a tiny hardbound book. In other words, this book is a masterpiece. There is so much insight on how to live happy and healthy. Some of the things that
